Take Action SC Environmental Education Virtual Workshop
Jul 07, 2020 05:11PM ● By Annette BriggsIt’s time to take action! The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and the Take Action SC Environmental Education Partners will host their annual environmental education summer workshop VIRTUALLY this year on Wednesday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Multiple sessions will be available throughout this online experience to help participants find ways to integrate environmental lessons into everyday teaching—both virtually and in the actual classroom!
This year’s virtual workshop sessions will include a special guest speaker on curriculum correlations, including lesson demonstrations (adding virtual learning to your planning); teacher and school spotlights; updates; and other educational tools from Take Action SC Partners, such as DHEC, the S.C. Energy Office, and the Environmental Education Association of South Carolina. Each session will feature a few special surprises, including drawings for more cool stuff!
The goal of the Take Action Partnership is to provide a program that informs, inspires and empowers students and teachers to protect and preserve the environment.
