KMB Hosts Gala for Greener Midlands

Keep the Midlands Beautiful (KMB) will host its annual Gala for a Greener Midlands on Friday, December 11, from 6 to 10 p.m. The annual fundraiser is designed to support the beautification efforts in the Midlands and to recognize award-nominated “green leaders” within community. The evening will start with light hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. Dinner will follow, featuring locally sourced foods along with the presentation of the Midlands Green Awards honoring those in the Midlands community that strive to advance the mission and vision of KMB. The night’s activities will also include great music and dancing. Black tie is optional. Established in 1989 to serve Richland and Lexington counties, the mission of KMB is to engage, inspire and educate Midlands residents on the importance of investing in the community through litter prevention, recycling and beautification.
