RMHC of Columbia Hosts Its Red Shoe Run

On Saturday, January 23, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia will host its 10th annual Red Shoe Run at Hand Middle School, 2600 Wheat Street, located in the beautiful Shandon neighborhood of Columbia. Onsite registration will begin at 6:30 a.m. with the 10K starting at 8 a.m. and the 5K at 8:15 a.m.  Both courses are USA Track & Field certified. All proceeds raised will help support the work and mission of the Ronald McDonald House, which is to provide a comfortable “home away from home” where families of seriously ill or injured children can rest, enjoy home-cooked meals, access laundry and shower facilities, and, most importantly, receive network support from families dealing with similar circumstances.

Cost: 10K run: $25 before Jan. 4, $30 after, $35 on race day; 5K run/walk: $20 before Jan. 4, $25 after, $30 on race day.
