Run for Our Troops 5K Event

There’s nothing like running for a great cause! The Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees, in partnership with Team RWB and Hidden Wounds, will host its annual Run for Our Troops 5K event at 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, at the W.M. Rish Riverwalk Park & Amphitheater, in West Columbia.

This 3.1 mile USA Track & Field-certified course will border Center Street, 9th Street, C Avenue and State Street adjacent to the amphitheater. Event proceeds from the event will go to help military veterans and first responders dealing with physical and emotional injuries resulting from their heroic acts of service to our nation. As a note, the amphitheater parking lot will be closed to the public at midnight. The city of West Columbia maintains unpaved lots across Alexander Road along Meeting Street that can be used by event participants.
