Spring Rain Hydrotherapy: Colonics 101

The Month of March is recognized as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer is a very serious disease that impacts countless individuals and families. Preventive care, screening and early detection are critical to preventing this potential killer. According to statistics, one in three adults have not been screened. Moreover, studies reveal that 90 percent of individuals more than age 50 that are obese, smoke, drink alcohol daily and consume lots of red meat will develop some type of bowl disease at some point.

Colonics is a cleansing procedure that helps to eliminate the toxins that cause bowel disease. It also helps to minimize gas and bloating while hydrating the body and improving skin health. Seventy percent of the body’s immune system is found in the digestive system. For this reason and emerging data, colonics have become a desired treatment option shown to be safe and effective. In fact, Danbury Hospital of Ohio has integrated colonics (hydro prep) for colonoscopy. It is also an effective treatment option for constipation, irregularity, weight loss, nutritional absorption, stool narrowing and fatigue. Spring Rain Colonics utilizes an innovative closed-system procedure that is approved by both the Association of Registered Colon Hydrotherapists and the Food and Drug Administration.
