EEASC and Green Steps Hosts Eco-Learning Stations

The Environmental Education Association of SC (EEASC) is coordinating an Earth Day event at the Soda City Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. The market takes place on the 1500 block of Main Street in downtown Columbia. Midlands area students will showcase their great environmental projects at Eco-Learning Stations with support from their Midlands EEASC mentors. The event will also feature hands-on activities related to many of the projects.

Residents can learn how to improve air, soil and water quality; help protect native fireflies and pollinators; identify plants; utilize solar energy; and, of course, reduce, reuse and recycle.
