LCSC Hosts Build Your Own Barrel Workshop

The Lexington Countywide Stormwater Consortium (LCSC) will host its Build Your Own Rain Barrel workshop on Friday, May 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. Beginning at the Lexington County Fire Services, located at 436 Ball Park Road, in Lexington, and finishing up at the Public Works Garage nearby, the workshop session will teach participants how to construct rain barrels, harvest rainwater with barrels and cisterns, and manage stormwater runoff and water pollution. The use of rain barrels can help save water, save money, and reduce stormwater pollution. Space is limited, so preregistration is required. The registration deadline is Monday, May 22.
