PHF Hosts Walk for Life and Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon

Time to lace up the sneakers for a great cause! On Saturday, October 14, from 7 to 11 a.m., the Palmetto Health Foundation will host its Walk for Life and the Famously Hot Pink Half Marathon. Starting on the property of beautiful Spirit Communications Park (home of the Columbia Fireflies), the beautiful, scenic course will take participants through the capital city’s historic streets and along the Congaree River.

The half marathon will begin at 7:15 a.m., followed by a 10K race, a 5K race, and a 5K walk. Runners can register at FamouslyHotPinkHalf.org. Event proceeds will go to the purchase of critical medical equipment and help fund program enhancements at Palmetto Health Breast Center, in Columbia, to ensure that patients and families receive the very best care.
