C. A. Johnson Hosts Community Health Event—A Road to a Healthier Me

On Saturday, January 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., C. A. Johnson High School’s Health Sciences Magnet is hosting a free community health event—A Road to a Healthier Me. Students will present an array of presentations and demonstrations while local healthcare professionals and area doctors offer onsite health sessions, workshops and screenings. Other activities include drawings, door prizes and giveaways—all related to healthy living. In addition, great products and services will be provided by area businesses and organizations.

The mission of this community initiative is to provide empowering and helpful health and wellness information that will encourage members of the local community to be more proactive in making healthier and affordable lifestyle changes. C.A. Johnson’s Health Sciences Magnet program consists of five distinct pathways: biomedical research and technology, food science and dietetics, health science, sports medicine, and administrative services. This event will target the entire community.
