Columbia Water Reinforces Water Safety

Mar 31, 2020 06:44PM ● By Billy Briggs

Attention all Columbia Water customers! You can be assured that our city water is safe to drink. The city’s standard treatment practices are effective for inactivation and removal of viruses, including COVID-19. Our task teams have plans implemented to ensure the water supply is clean and safe for drinking. Please note the following points of interest as we strive to serve our customers while protecting public health:

  • Payment Centers are closed until further notice.

  • Customers can make payments by phone, online at ColumbiaSCWater.net, by mail, or drop box at 1136 Washington Street.

  • Leak repairs and sewer call response will continue on a prioritized basis.

The customer care call center will continue with normal hours Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staffing and response is available on a 24-hour basis at 803-545-3300. We asks citizens to be patient as there may be longer call wait times and delays due to recent necessary changes.

Customers can also contact the office by email at [email protected] or through the MyColumbiaSC smartphone app. Learn more at ColumbiaSCWater.net.
