Yoga, an ancient practice and meditation, has become increasingly popular in today’s current pandemic environment. For many people, yoga provides both mental and physical benefits. There are many types of yoga. Hatha (a combination of many styles) is one of the most popular styles. It focuses on a series of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayamas (breathing practices), which are followed by savasana (a deep relaxation period).

The goal of yoga is to challenge oneself physically, but not to become overwhelmed. The primary focus is on breathing while the mind is accepting and calm. The Rooted Community yoga studio is offering daily live yoga classes via Zoom. The sign up and class schedule are located on Mindbody and on the website TheRootedCommuntiy.com. In addition, free outdoor classes will soon be offered. And beginning in June, limited studio classes will be offered. You are invited to come join the community!
