Canvases With Candace: Artistic Expression in the Midst of COVID-19

Aug 07, 2020 08:21PM ● By Annette Briggs

Studies show that art is a great way to express emotions without words, process complex feelings, and find relief. So many changes have resulted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With that in mind, Canvases With Candace (CWC) has been making some necessary adjustments and working hard behind the scenes to bring you more adaptive experiences.

Due to the current pandemic, we started virtual paint experiences as an alternative way for people to participate as a group while practicing social distancing. The micro-studio has moved to its new location: inside CoCreate, located at 141 Riverchase Drive, in Lexington. Canvases With Candace and CoCreate have been in close partnership since October 2018. Our combined efforts and missions has resulted in some very effective work positively impacting the lives of countless Midlands residents.

Adds Candace: “Canvases With Candace has been nominated for Best Wine and Paint Studio. We couldn’t do it without our partners and supporters—thank you! Art is not what you do, it’s who you are. We are looking forward to creating with you!”
