Celebrate Culture at Artists for Africa’s Performance

Artists for Africa will host its 13th annual performance series event on Friday, August 8, at the Township Auditorium, in Columbia. The event features Sara Mearns, principal ballerina with New York City Ballet; local talents, including Soda City Brass Band, Trustus Theatre, Columbia Repertory Dance Company, South Carolina Ballet, Unbound Dance, and Clayton King with After Dinner Cabaret; and scholarship student dancers from Nairobi, Kenya.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour for VIP and floor ticket holders, plus a silent auction of Kenyan paintings and a sale of African arts and home goods. The performance starts at 7 p.m.
