Explore Local Birds at Hampton-Preston Gardens

Historic Columbia will host a free guided bird walk on Thursday, September 11, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Hampton-Preston Gardens. Local birder John Tjaarda will lead participants through the gardens, which host more than 100 bird species over the course of the year, and teach how to identify birds by sight, sound and behavior.

Guests are asked to meet at the front gate of the Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens. Binoculars are recommended but not required.
