Columbia Shrimp & Grits Fest Returns for 11th Year

The Columbia Shrimp & Grits Fest will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Seawell’s, bringing together area restaurants to compete for the title of Columbia’s best shrimp and grits.

Now in its 11th year, the event invites participating restaurants to serve up their signature versions of the Southern staple, with winners chosen by a panel of judges. There will also be a People’s Choice winner. Organizers say the festival highlights the variety and creativity behind one of the region’s most popular dishes.

Tickets include unlimited shrimp and grits samples, live music by local band Prettier Than Matt and door prizes.
