Support Young Filmmakers at Special Columbia Premiere

H.E.R. (Helping Everyone Rise) Production Academy will host its Freshman Film Premiere on Thursday, July 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Nickelodeon Theatre.

The event will showcase an original film created by local girls ages 12 to 14 that have spent the past year learning filmmaking through hands-on training in screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, interviewing and acting. The premiere highlights the students’ creativity, leadership and storytelling skills.

In addition to the film screening, the evening will include student recognition awards and an opportunity to meet the young filmmakers during a post-show photo and autograph session.

This family-friendly event celebrates youth achievement, arts education and the next generation of storytellers in the Midlands.
