Get a First Look at a New Musical Drama

On Saturday, August 8, at 5 p.m., the Inclusive Theatre Company of South Carolina will present a staged reading of the world premiere of a new play with music, Struggle Bus. For adult audiences, the play, based on the book Dream Changer, by Jamila Phillips, is the story about the challenges and joys of special-needs parenting laced with honesty, humor and inspiration. 

The staged reading is a stripped-down version of the full production, which will be produced in summer 2027. Audience members will be invited to participate in a post-show discussion and provide feedback on the production. On-site childcare will be available for families with special-needs youth, with supervised activities offered in an adjacent space during the performance.
