Prepare for Your Breastfeeding Journey

Prisma Health will sponsor an in-person breastfeeding class from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 18. Designed for expectant mothers and their support person, the interactive session will provide information on what to expect throughout the breastfeeding experience. 

Participants will learn about the benefits of breastfeeding, preparing to breastfeed, latch and positioning techniques, and how to recognize if an infant is feeding well. The class will also cover common breastfeeding challenges, choosing the right breast pump and returning to work.

Registration is recommended during the first trimester, with attendance suggested during the third trimester.
