Explore Native American Art at CMA
The Columbia Museum of Art (CMA) will host the South Carolina Native American Art Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 15, on Boyd Plaza. Held for the third consecutive year in collaboration with the S.C. Commission for Community Advancement and Engagement, the free event will feature Native American artists sharing their work and stories during Soda City Market.
Visitors can shop handmade works including woodworking, jewelry, pottery, Indigenous foods and more. The event will also include live demonstrations, performances by fancy dancers, jingle dancers, grass dancers, and men’s and women’s traditional dancers, as well as music from the Catawba Nation’s Women of the River Drum Group and the Iron Arrow Singers.
In the event of rain, the market will be moved indoors.
