See James Taylor Live

Five-time Grammy-winning, multi-platinum singer-songwriter James Taylor will perform Friday, September 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Colonial Life Arena. Taylor is the archetypal singer-songwriter who helped create the template for the troubadour style that became prominent in the 1970s. When he brings his blend of folk, pop, rock and soul influences to the stage, a part of music history comes alive before the crowd. Taylor introduced songs like Fire and Rain and You’ve Got a Friend to the collective pop-cultural consciousness in the ‘70s, and they’ve stayed there ever since. Of course, he’s continued to make compelling music for many decades, and his shows are a mix of new tunes and beloved classics.

Location: 801 Lincoln St., Columbia. For more information, including cost, or to purchase tickets, visit ColonialLifeArena.com/events/detail/james-taylor-1.
