All New and Ready to Serve You!

Family Practice of Chiropractic (FPOC) would like to welcome members of the community to visit its newly renovated office. FPOC has just finished putting the last touches on the remodel. After 15 years, head doctor and owner Dr. Jim Minico decided it was time to update and reinvent the office and facilities. The result is a space that is more fun, more comfortable, and, most importantly, more functional. The office is now designed for better patient flow and doctor efficiency, which translates into less wait time and overall faster appointments. The new modern look and open concept will make everyone feel right at home. “We would like to encourage new and old patients to stop by and check it out for themselves,” says Minico.

FPOC has also modernized many of its diagnostic and treatment options. FPOC’s digital film process is state of the art. Digital X-rays offer better diagnostic imaging quality, which better serves patient diagnosis and provider analysis. Additionally, digital image files are much more easily shared among healthcare providers, thus potentially decreasing unnecessary X-rays and radiation exposure.

A newly added treatment option introduces low-level laser therapy. This form of therapy allows the FPOC team to provide better care for soft tissue-related issues associated with bony misalignments or soft tissue injuries, such as sprains or strains. Additionally, low-level laser therapy has been shown to be beneficial for diabetic neuropathies. The laser works by stimulating the healing response in soft tissue, which leads to decreased pain and inflammation and restored function. It is a safe and effective alternative to drugs and surgery.

FPOC has also added nonsurgical spinal decompression therapy to its list of services. This therapy is reserved for patients that may be considering surgery as their last option. The latest research reveals that this form of therapy can resolve disc bulging and herniation while also treating other degenerative conditions that lead to stenosis. In addition, this treatment option can be used in cases of failed back surgery.

FPOC has been in business longer than any other chiropractic office in the Chapin area. With more than 35 years of chiropractic experience, staff doctors have seen and managed just about everything a chiropractor can treat. Each new patients is given a thorough examination that includes physical, neurological, orthopedic and chiropractic exams. If necessary, X-rays are taken to ensure that the doctors have all of the information and research necessary to determine the appropriate chiropractic care option. “In our office, we take the time to sit down with each patient to discuss exam and X-ray results,” says Minico. “We focus on correcting the cause and not the symptoms. Our ultimate goal for all of our patients is to have a fully rehabilitated spine. Rehabilitative success is accomplished through correcting the body’s misalignments and strengthening adjacent areas of soft tissue. This comprehensive approach has led to our high rate of success.”

Dr. Jim Minico and his highly skilled professional staff encourage those considering chiropractic care to check out the FPOC website, DrMinico.com, for more information about their services and to read through FPOC’s Google and Facebook reviews. Call today to set up a free consultation. Your case will be reviewed for free, with healthcare recommendations provided. “We look forward to the opportunity to help people in our community,” adds Minico.
